You'll never get an argument from me that slaves got a raw deal (although who knows for sure?, maybe they sewed some bad karma...), and I've no quarrel with not forgetting it. However, I do have a problem with the whole 'the glass is half-full' point of view that's stomped down everyone's throats. I mean is it really so wrong to point out how absolutely blessed today's blacks are for lucking-out and getting to live with the advanced Caucasian race? Just look at all the blacks with TVs, Cars,...!

Black and white were brought over by the Dutch in the mid 1600's as endensured servants (a 7 year contract) to aquire their own property. The myth of blacks not beable to own property is untrue. Even some white land owners later left their properties to the black people who worked the land... Not all landowners tortured and abused the help. No doubt there are depraved people in this world and it just happens those are the ones people like to focus on....interesting

SLAVERY IN THE BIBLE WAS NOTHING LIKE THE ATROCITIES SEEN HERE. a person could only make someone a slave for 7 yrs, for six hears he would work and inthe 7th, he was to be made free. also a slave could not be beaten and injured or the blow cause death. everybody wants to put abad comment on the bible because they don't understand it, but let's look into the law of slavery in the bible.
