Biology Rat Dissection part 1

Here is my rat dissection video from Biology. In order to get authorization to put this on youtube, my biology teacher said that the district-wide policy is no faces, and preferably no sound. I didn't add background music as it would be hard selecting music for over an hour of stuff, plus not all music suits everyones tastes. Keep in mind this was a HIGH SCHOOL project, so there will be many, many mistakes.

that rat looks weird. the rats that we dissected in bio lab had just been killed with CO2 just before going into lab .

DOes anyone know where i could find the rat diagram and everything labeled on it? ITs not on my textbook and i cant find it on a search engine. For the abdominal section i need to know where stomach, liver, testis, ovaries, aorta etc..... are

so im watching this and almost getting mad at you for not using the scissors to cut instead of the scalpel. i did the exact same dissection today. super cool, but we had to skin it first. i found it a lot easier to have someone hold the skin up with tweezers as you like, snip away the fat holding the skin to the muscle, but maybe you just had to chop into it. i dunnoo, not in your biology class. anyway, good job!

but i bet the dissection was entirely pointless, unless of course you understood the anatomy of a rat first. because blindly chopping wont help you to learn anything.

so really you just mutilated a rat for no reason. good job there... xP
