Spy,
<<you have to know your camera settings inside and out. I can usually dial in the proper exposure in less than two shots. Check out our new ebook coming out in days that teaches this...Mikey

MikeyOrange: Can you please advise, how many speedlights are in the softbox may I ask? One or more?

@NewYorkPodCafe
NewYorkPodCafe: well, I usually use one speedlight in a softbox. But, if you need more power add more!

Great stuff! I am just getting into speedlights and have been watching every video I can to learn - this one (as well as your others) have been way more entertaining than most. Can you tell me if an shoot-through umbrella will work as well as the soft box in this situation and/or why you used the soft box. Also, do you mind telling me what settings that 1st photo was shot at? (ISO also?)

Hello ToolFan, Check out our website we have a video on light modifiers that will help you with your questions. But basically the umbrella would have lit everything up a little more. With flash we almost always shoot at ISO 200.
