Jackson „Jax" Teller ist die Person, um die es bei Sons of Anarchy geht. Denn Jackson „Jax" Teller ist Vizepräsident der Motorrad Gang Sons of Anarchy und stellt langsam fest, dass er sich nicht mehr mit den Methoden und Ansichten der Sons of Anarchy identifizieren kann. Der Präsident, Clay Morrow, ist gleichzeitig der Stiefvater von Jax. Das macht die Verhältnisse innerhalb der Motorrad Gang natürlich nicht einfacher. Und so einfach verlassen, wie es sich Jax vielleicht manchmal wünscht, kann man die Sons of Anarchy auch nicht. Vor allem nicht, wenn die ganze Familie bei den Sons of Anarchy mitmacht. Denn auch Gemma Teller Morrow, Mutter von Jax und Frau von Clay Morrow, mischt kräftig bei der Gang mit.
Produziert wurde Sons of Anarchy erstmalig 2008 in den USA von Kurt Sutter. Kennern fällt auf, dass Sons of Anarchy sehr lose an Shakespeares Hamlet angelehnt ist. Katey Sagal, die in Sons of Anarchy die Gemma spielt, bekam für ihre Rolle einen Golden Globe. Des weiteren war sie für den Satellite Award und den Television Critics Association Award nominiert.
