Could anyone tell me if my Mackie 1402 VLZ3 would work with this software, i'm not sure if it will or not. Also if i get this software will i get the free update to pro tools 9 as i dont want to have to pay the £400 pounds for it. I'd rather spend £200 on this version. Thanks :)

@tonemeister3 protoolz 9 iz out now so it really duznt matter cuz u can uze any hardware with it now

for me its all about flstudio 8 and reason 4 but i might get pro tools,cakewalk,cubase,and sony acid cause the more you learn the better. and i think every program is good as long as you understand it completely

@Lgw1984 the M-powered 8 is their entry level DAW. you must have an interface already, even then you have to use m-audio approved interface. my point being with
Pro tools 8 the hardware is bundled in so, you can't really demo it withou buying
the whole thing. I prefer Presonus Studio one with a Tascam 1641. It works
and half the price of Pro Tools pro software.
