  • Hey 4040, We have the same Antenna. Did not know what it was . now i do, cool. How lone are those eleaments ? Fallguy

  • What do you use it for a Ham radio or CB radio?

  • @minimaluhftv thats what i was thinking.

  • :-/ how can a sigma which is basically a j pole antenna for 11 meters kick a 3 element beam's ass?!?! Please explain that to me. No doubt that the sigma is good antenna but please.... The beam is still going to have more gain and by the way horizontal "flat side" works but remember most people are vertical and between horizontal and vertical there is a 20DB difference. That's 3 1/4 S units difference, so yeah the sigma will do better vertical to vertical.... Now get that beam and put it vertica

  • I think with aa5oc, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing lol, how can he believe a ground plane has no gain without knowing what type of ground plane lol.

  • @aa5oc oh really ...splain it to me.

  • @worldwide390 A ground plane, does not have any gain

  • My Sigma 4 runs best at 30 ft off the ground. ( I have had it higher and lower) That Sigma out performed every Ground Plane I had. Both Local and DX !

    Thanks 4040

  • Not a tower, it's a Hy-Gain vertical antenna.

  • sexy sigma 4, i have one mysel;f in the UK, crap local, but a big deal on the DX...30 years old and still as good as new, get a vecta 4000 and a bird farts near it and it snaps..
