How to Use A Playstation 3 Controller on Windows (Updated Version)

@44northyorkb44 TO use the controller for PC games you must change the controller to an Xbox 360 controller, this is to fool the PC into thinking you are using an Xbox controller. Then you are good to go.

@wiltshire12345 Okay I got the controller working however I was wondering how I can change the setup so I could use the controller with GTA San Andreas.

@44northyorkb44 hmm usually reloading the drivers will make the joysticks work. Try unplugging and reconnecting the controller . If that does not work try reloading the drivers once more, completely shut down the ds3 tool before doing it though

@wiltshire12345 That made the controller work but the Joysticks still don't work. I've tried changing the select mode but nothing.

@44northyorkb44 It should re-install the PS3 controllers drivers, then you should re-load the drivers once more in the DS3 tool, if that does not work, completely kill the process of the DS3 tool

I tried this just now and it didn't work. I connected my controller with the usb and the 4 leds at the back were flashing slower and I opened the software and nothing. I went under driver management then I saw that the PLAYSTATION 3 thing wasn't checked, so I did and clicked load driver, gave me ERROR:Install MotioninJoy Driver fail.. Error code:0Xe0000206. What should I do? I even downloaded the latest file from the website, the on ending with 5.
