Kallis has just plundered sides like West Indies and Zimbabwe, When has he ever scored match winning 100s against Australia or England? And hes a decent outswing bowler whos going to get that mnay wickets if he bowls as many overs as he has. Hes the most boring batsman to watch (only maybe Cook and Trott can match him for that), Hes been troubled by high pace bowling ( lee, akhtar, flintoff poss harmison)

garry sobers
ARGUABLY GREATEST BATSMAN OF ALL TIME + ARGUABLY GREATEST FIELDER OF ALL TIME + MATCH WINNING BOWLER (most versatile bowler too)
GREATEST CRICKETER WITH NO DOUBT..!!!!!!!
sobers as bowler @ peak (1961-68)- 33 tests 125 wickets at 27.93 - better than many specialist bowlers

Sir Gary Sobers told my father if he scored a 50 in his cricket match he would buy him a bat and sign it. My dad got out on 50 exactly and sir gary sobers with farokh engineer signed a gary nicholas bat which i have in my house. My dad was an Opening Batsman and Wicket keeper for Malaysia and after watching this video it can start to realise the kind of man my father was.

@Imrankniazi Kallis is a dwarf. Sobers is a giant. Ask Kallis to bowl spin--orthodox and unorthodox-bowl fast, open the batting, bat 7 down, captain the team, field at slip, field anywhere on the ground, and then, maybe, maybe, he can be compared to Sobers. Sobers was God's gift to cricket.

only viv can be talked about in the same breath, zero protection against some of the best imagine these two batting together shame it never happened
People who are throwing idiotic comparisons obviously have no realisation of who Gary Sobers was. A man who hammers Lillee at his fastest here on a quick track with zero protection is BEYOND COMPARISON to any modern player.
The man is 36 in this video. Throughout his career he faced bowlers like Snow, Trueman, Statham, McKenzie, Fazal Mahmood and some exceptional quality spin (Chandra, Bedi, Pras, Intikhab, Gleeson) on uncovered wickets and took apart all of them!
..{contd.}

Jacques Kallis? Lol.. Kallis is a very fine all-rounder for his era, but as danz177 says, don't compare dwarfs with giants.
And given Sobers' stature, I cannot think of more than 4 or 5 players through the game's history who can stand up and even dare look him in the eye.
Jacques Kallis..ROFLMAO! Thanks for the laugh, folks. You are clearly clueless about the game.
