  • Nice vid dude. I'm an old finger shooter getting into release aids. Obviously these D-loops won't last forever. Do you ever get scared it's going to break or pull through? I'm getting someone else to put it on for me and everyone should always check your weapon before firing anyway but what should I look for as far as wear and safety as it gets older? Thanks in advance.

  • @MichiganZombieHunter As long as the loop is tied properly, it is very difficult to even move them on the string, much less have one pull through. The main two points I would stress are...

    1) Make sure to get a large enough "burn ball" on the end of the cord.

    2) Make sure to really tighten the loop down before you begin shooting.

    Beyond that, maintenance basically involves visual inspection. Once the loop is showing visible signs of wear (fraying) it's probably time to replace it.

  • Well done..... I like this setup...and i think the string nock would be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye then a brass one on a vintage wood/fiberglass Ben Pearson, Wing,or Bear Archery Recurve ...

  • i like the way this was done when i have my bow tuned i wanted o nock loop put in and have seen others but not like this one , i want this one and will recomend it to my tuner VERY WELL DONE, THANK YOU for the info
