Can't believe people mistake his honesty for arrogance. The music industry today could do with more guys like Noel.

I am american and for a long time I thought Noel was arrogant because we would only get sound bites of him saying something out of context. After watching interviews in full and listening to him on Russell Brand and BBC I realized he is a normal guy who did extraordinary things and takes a piss out of everyone who makes it more than that.

@robjwager yea, I get ya. I think I must have been pissed off with something when I typed that lol. But yea I totally understand what your saying. Noel is a great songwriter and a funny funny guy. I love all his interviews. I do still think however that he could have chosen better choice of words than "I dont wanna have anything to do with my fans". I think thats a disgusting thing to say from a man who's as intelligent as Noel.

@LukaRaPtoR He is saying he doesn't make music just to please fans, which is the way it should be. Thats the whole problem with 99% of the music industry today, they are making music with a team of marketeers behind them telling them what will sell, rather then just makin good music like Noel always has.

i've recently re-discovered Whats the story morning glory. I dont know how i didnt look at it in the same light 15 years ago when i first bought the album. maybe age and life. Cast no shadow and She's electric speak to me more now than anything other of their songs now. supersonic also rules.

See I think this is what Noel is actually like. He generally doesn't slag off artists unless asked specifically about them. The British press always asks him about pop stars because they WAN'T to have that next big Noel Gallagher quote so that they can get an interesting story for little or no effort. A full article of a single sentence.

But then he does interviews in other countries where they don't ask him for opinions an he doesn't offer them. And then the interviews are generally postiive

His voice has gotten a lot better with the training. When he first sang it wasn't that good. This acoustic stuff is just amazing.

I'm an American and I think Oasis is amazing. Probably my favorite band of all time. I think some of their music got a little crazy due to the drugs, but that is exactly what I want from fucking rock stars. They might not push the musical envelope all the time and be critically acclaimed for all of their albums. But fuck the critics, they make a living by being critical. Its music, if it sounds good then it probably is good. Never let some stuffy critic influence your music choices.
