In Saudi Arabia, where woman are not allowed to drive, one female activist is on a quest for reform. She did it. She filmed it. She posted it on Youtube. And she's had more than100,000 hits as Al jazeera's Jamal Elshayyal explains.

  • These Wahabbis are so stupid and they destroyed our country, Afghanistan too....women drive in all countries except Saudi Arabia....they have nothing but oil

  • Let them drive please only then can they fight for their "right' to not be allowed to drive, like how they r fighting in france for their "right' to remain covered in a garment with only slits for the eyes.

Another woman-hater! Maybe you should live in Saudi. I've nearly been killed many times by male drivers in the UK, talking on 'phones, overtaking on the wrong side etc etc. You are just another insecure man, afraid of women.

Who says women are supposed to be treated as a weak gender? Women fight alongside men in the Israeli army and the Australian army are going to allow women to fight, too. Women control companies, run schools and even run countries. Of course women want the same rights as men! They are just as intelligent and they are humans who should be equal. What is your problem? Why are you frightened of women? And do you not care if your mother, sister or daughter has a sad, frustrating life?

  • I really hate the society world wide today when it comes to women. On one side their supposed to be threated like an weak gender, but on the other side they want just as much rights as a man.

Look at commericals, and read the newspapers these days. Everything is about comparing genders. Allthough women win in every case due to it's really only feminists who does this shit. Someone has better things to do.

Not letting women drive is harsh, but yeah. Imo they got too much rights in most countr

Thanks for your comments. I totally understand your point. :-)

  • @newport620 "arab men in general" I'd stick with just Saudi men. Most men in Saudi, even youngsters are against women's right to drive - while men in Bahrain, kuwait, Jordan, lebanon most don't have a problem with their girls going out alone with no hijab, whenever they want however they want, ect.. It's even offending to the Saudi men that you'd compare them with "Arab men in general"

  • @cornskid :-) A six-pack of what? Coke? (Alcohol is also banned in Saudi Arabia.)
