An old music-hall song. The version I know came from my grandfather - it differs from versions found on the web, printed here. Dylan Thomas used to recite this.
Viscount, or "wicount" scans better than "mi-Lord", I feel. But I feel that this song shouldn't be sung downbeat. The milkman ought to have pulled himself together and got some crumpet elsewhere.

Well done. Interesting to hear those extra two verses. I wonder where they come from, and whether they were part of Clifton's original version.
