Screwing around with live Civil War, er, excuse me, War for Souther Independence, is asking for a Darwin Award. I've got a heap of vintage rifle and cartridge rounds and percussion caps that work just fine 144 year later with all the snot they had when new.

Great video! There's no way you'd get me anywhere near one of those old shells. That guy had nerves of steel.

Nice to know that someone can actually defuse a projectile without ruining it. In my early days I defused a cannon ball by shooting it with a high powered rifle from about 200 yards. The iron fragmented into about 8 peices. On the inside was not iron shot as I expected. Instead there were various pistol and rifle blemished bullets. In other words the cannon ball was full of civil war bullets!
