Saddam Hussein killed 100,000 Kurds with poison gas(aka WMDs) in 1988. He also had the Iraqi Republican Guard tortured, raped, and killed over 1,234 Kuwaiti civilians during the Persian Gulf War. He also butchered over 200,000 Kurdish and Shiite rebels during the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War. In the 1990s when he was in power, he even killed thousands of more people in his own country.
