NanQuan (Southern Fist Boxing) is is one of the lesser known kung fu styles. It has a long history dating back to the Ming Dynasty. NanQuan is characterized by more handwork and less legwork. It features rigid arm and leg postures, stable footwork and forceful momentum during attacks. It resembles traditional karate in many ways. This form is called Ichi Zen.
