I've beaten Digital Devil saga 1, 2.

I've slogged through the shit that is Persona 2, just 2 days ago completed the PSP remake of Innocent Sin [which is piss easy till mid-way...] completed P3 and P4 on hard and started nocturne before my Ps 2 gave up and died.

Because that is BULLSHIT.

It's not up to you, or your "tactic" OR your "party" to be CHARMED.

It's up to the enemy attacking you, attacking first, and charm hitting 3\5 almost always.

I never lost to anyone and only got one unfair game over from being stunlocked via paralysis [the others charmed].

I'm not a noob, and I'm not stupid.

When I say fights near the end came down to pure luck I sort of, you know, mean it ?

If you had a decent party those aren't really problems once you get a good tactic going for each enemy. I only ever lost to bosses and enemies I hadn't encountered before, and even than not to status effects. Fights were far from random.
