This is a test of the waterproofing capabilities of the Panasonic DMC-TS2 camera I just got about a week ago. It is a replacement for my older Sanyo Xacti CA9 and the panasonic beats the Sanyo in all aspects. It has a immensly faster start up time, better image quality, waterproof to deeper depths, and the list goes on. This was a test of our salt water fish tank at home.

  • Nice- this could be a load of fun!

  • @megalen After using the camera for more than a month I am extremely happy with it. It is a complete camera, I only wish technology could figure out how to get a little better zoom but understand it is hard when the lens is inset into the camera.

  • @xninjagrrl Sorry I didn't reply earlier. It is fairly grainy in low light but you probably have already found that out. Again for me switching recently from the Sanyo Xacti, this camera winds hands down of the amount of grain in the photos in a low light situation.

    Panasonic = WIN!

  • Anyways, I just got one of these for an unbelievable price off Amazon, I think it was a fluke. Just wondering how well it takes pictures in low light/night time. I have read some pretty bad reviews about low light pics looking very grainy.

  • The zoom seems alright on these Ts2's. From what I can tell the image gets a little grainy if you zoom and pan at the same time. Or for instance, when the Ts2 was right next to the shrimp, whenever the shrimp moved his legs there was some grain around the edges of the legs. This could be due to the fact I was watching at only 480p, 720p is too good for the computer I am on, which is sad.
