Why was there no mention of Hatsumi Sensei in this video? Stephen Hayes learned his martial art from Hatsumi did he not?

I see you posted this a few months ago, but I'll answer it just in case you haven't heard. When new groups emerge from the bujinkan they distance themselves from it. They weren't taught directly by Takamatsu sensei, but since he is the father of this melting pot he is the one given credit.

Great camera work. For me the diversity of people was a draw, and the smiles and acceptance and positive atmosphere won out over my first fears.

Great job Mr and Mrs Copeland, you too Mr Sullivan!! This was a well constructed video showing some insights into the benefits of training in 'To-Shin Do'
Good form from the students training too.

then fair enough but you should make it a bit more clear thats all just so ppl don't get the wrong idea. as far as i can see To Shin Do or bujinkan they're very similar so go out try both and see what you like and train hard. respect to all style's and martial artist later peeps.

Stephen Hayes learned directly from the head instructor of the bujinkan budo taijutsu dojo in japan, soke Massaki Hatsumi the skills he learned under Hatsumi he has adapted slightly for the modern age but most of the core fundamentals remain the same one thing about the description that im not so sure is true is the 900 year lineage unless Stephen is the first person ever to turn 900 years old i don't think you can really say the art is 900 years old but if your talking about the ninjutsu side
whats the 900 year lineage?

The lineage is from the families of ninjutsu. To Shin Do is a modern adaptation. The scrolls go back around 900 years. Thanks for watching and asking.

You know the vid-tour is good when you've merely watched it and yet felt that in those few minutes, you'd met an entire community of smiling and welcoming faces. :) Great job, and
To-Shin!
