  • I haven't read the book but does Skinny Bitch mention Indian food? Because they have the BEST vegetarian and vegan meals. omg.

  • @missartist123 I dont remember if they do BUT I love Indian and often make my own versions. Yummy!

  • you are inspirational, i love your energy! & that book is great! it changed my whole view on food!

  • @heatherlynnebell thanks so much!!

  • Also, I don’t like the idea that ‘Skinny Bitch’ makes it seem like being vegan and eating nothing but organic food is the only way of eating, or else you’ll get cancer. (I know I’m being dramatic, but just go with me on this) EVEN THOUGH I’M VEGAN, I feel that eating is a very specific thing for most individuals, and for me being vegan is what I prefer but that doesn't mean it's the only "right way" to eat.

  • @Kaci51604 funny I didnt get that out of the book. Maybe I just heard those things as humorous ways to get a point across. That book mostly inspired me to give the vegan diet a try and see for myself what it would do for me. also, I have the audio book format, so I only heard it, I never read the text or had something to refer back to on the other resources they give. My experience was simply pure entertainment and inspiration to just go vegan.

  • I bought this book probably 3 year ago and only read some of it. Ive been a vegetarian for awhile now and began to read the book again. You've totally inspired me that if you try hard it will work out thank you so much for your video

  • @olivethis My dad's beginning to realize and understand about what I'm talking about. It's just he's a typical guy who just picks up anything he sees at the store and thinks it's ok to eat. :P He was kind of like, "Buh...but.....But I brought you chicken...*sad face*" He wants everything to be easy and simple (when it comes to shopping) but I keep telling him that just because the package says GREEN or NATURAL doesn't mean that it is. He gets so frustrated. lol

  • @missartist123 Good for you! And you aren't a snob, you were standing on principle and basic humanity. It takes some time getting people to connect the dots to what they are eating and where it has been. I'm guessing maybe 1-3% of the western world even wonder about their food's source. If you're dad thinks you are really insane, you can always show him video from and industrialized chicken farm. I am surprised some men who have seen those videos did total 180ºs, they were that disgusted.

  • @olivethis it's so true! I kind of weave in and out of meat eating but after seeing a truck full of chickens from Sanderson Farms (smashed together and defecating everywhere) that looked malnourished and rash ridden I was really put off from eating meat. My father brought home a package of chicken breasts from that company and I refused to eat it. I felt like a snob but seeing how those chickens were treated was horrible.

  • To me it's funny that people can be so protective of their meat eating and yet don't want to look at the realities of where the meat they eat comes from. I've had so many conversations with people who in the same sentence will say how they LOVE burgers, but could never watch a video about where that burger came from, the industrialized farm it was raised on. Nor do they want to think about the environmental damage those farms cause. People can be amazingly disconnected and selfish.

  • love the video, try "yerba matte" tea, it is MaJoR energy boost, u wouldn't believe it's possible from an herbal tea, no caffeine, try 1-2, even 3 cups in the morning, just to see how you like it. you can find it at arabic grocery stores, if you don't mind non-organic, & it's much cheaper than from the health food stores, huge markup in price

  • i luv when u say ur proud to be a skinny bitch lol your wicked cute :)

  • I like you :) you're funny!I would read every boo you would write...but I have 1 negative comment....I'm sorry but if you think you were fat before you are so wrong!!!you just were not toned up :) hey,btw I'm going vegan for life!!!!
