This Album should have been named "Aviv's Bad Day"
-
According to Wilson in an interview with RockNews.info this song was written after a period of his life where underestimation and much needed progression of elocutionist and overambitious aspects of his life has weighed on his debilitating view of abolitionism regarding the stroboscopic and organized manifestations of ego.Where potentiality and fertility of most of humans has reached a boiling point of categorized yet chaotic resemblance of prominently regarding self.

The profanity was highly unnecessary, but that doesn't make this song any bad. In fact, the strings in the song's climax are awesome and seriously i kinda understand the repetitive use of "go to hell". One of the best songs on the album.

@torgotom I can imagine that might be true for those who feel like they've wasted their own life, but then again that would just be externalizing one's self-hate.

Fantastic Just my thoughts on my ex and her death threats from new boyfriend!!!

Amazing. But I understand this is not for everyone.

This is one of the best songs on the album in my opinion. Love it. Feel the same way daily.

I don't know why everyone criticises this song purely because of the lyrics. The 7/8 groove is pretty impressive and the strings after about 2 minutes are also. Sure the lyrics sound like a joke but maybe they were intended to be a joke?

this is all aviv geffen, and it's brilliant

You people are way too focused on lyrics. Pay attention to the larger album that the song fits into and context, and the attitude that it conveys. You don't need lyrics at all to create something that captures an emotion.
Aviv Geffen and Steven Wilson prove their extreme mastery of lyric by creating a song somehow less inspired than "Friday." I'm extremely impressed by this. Is there nothing they can't do?

Wait till your hit 40 - you will understand this song. After decades of hoping mankind can and will do better, as you near 40, Fu+k All you ass+oles is a common and valid sentiment.
