071 hauls the 'Galway set',

Full Pictures:

This consist is 6 TSO MurphyModels Mk.2a's and a re-built Dutch Van built myself.
I hadn't originally intended to buy so many, but as I got interested in running 'scale-length' trains, I bought 2 more.
The price of €75 for two, made it alot easier on the wallet too!

  • Where can such a set or train be purchased?

  • Eh, well

    Bottom line is, you can't!

The locomotive is scratchbuilt, as is the short generator van on the rear of the set.

The 6 Mk.2a's are the Murphy Models - Bachmann ones.

You could buy an MIR (Model Irish Railways) 071 class kit, and get the carriages from somewhere,

It will cost a lot though!!
