Believe it or not, Andy Williams did a great version of this song.
I first heard the Donny Hathaway version in 1971 on my first 747 flight, from Holland to NYC. I waited for the loop to go round each time to come back to this song.
Of course, I'd been "enhanced" by some Dutch hash before the flight!

the emotion just shoots right through me, and makes me feel as if im part of his song and that what makes this song and his voice so amazing..
