This makes me miss TNN SO much. Back when there were good shows, country/bluegrass on tv.
-
So much talent on one stage, Thanks for putting this up, Incredible.

@jazzmaster1948 Actually according to the liner notes on the Kentucky Thunder album Albert Lee was the lead guitarist on this song.
-
@cactusjim1By the time Kentucky Thunder came out Ray Flacke was gone for about 5 or 6 years the last Album he played on was Don't Cheat In Our Hometown which was 1983 Ray Flacke was gone before Live In London which was 1985 Kentucky Thunder was 1989 so Ray Flacke was long gone by this 89 he was playing with Kathy Mettea so to sum this up to everyone he was gone by this time.
-
No it was not Ray Flacke it was Albert Lee that was playing Lead Ray Flacke has a total different style of playing
-
@jazzmaster1948 actually the song was recorded first by restless heart greg jennings was the guitarist
-
Notice how much better the Telecaster sounds than his Ernie Ball, "Albert Lee" model?
-
Is it just me or does that look like a vintage Martin guitar going backpack style? WINCE!!!
-
@BluegrassLibrary Nope, that was indeed Albert Lee on the Kentucky Thunder album. Flacke had been gone from the band for at least 2 years by then, with Skaggs playing most of the electric stuff himself on the live shows. The other electric player on the track was Steve Gibson.
-
@BluegrassLibrary Bo...it was Albert on the session. Ray was on records before that
