The circumstances in Darfur are similar to what transpired in Rwanda -- considered a major failure by the UN.

With regards to Darfur, they (gov) are -REFUSING- humanitarian aid -- provided primarily through food and medical supplies. What's interesting is that some nations are flying planes overhead and dropping crates of food rations. However, the military in Darfur are finding these crates and often POISONING them.

sorry for this cold shower of this idealism of yours. Basically, if you want to bring peace to Darfur, keep American and Israeli legionairs out of the neighbour-state Chad, who are really responsible for burning down villages. Sorry, it's all about false-flag ops and oil.
