  • I really want to start learning much more about woodworking. To be able to make my own simple furniture would be really rewarding I think. First I got to get a workbench though. Would a workmate do the job if I weighted it down somehow? Like by using a sandbag?

    Then look, listen and learn. I am a fan... Period. Also, I don't care that he uses a bandsaw. It's the finished result that counts, not how you did it. ( I like to work on a proper workbench surface, but that's just me. Any sound flat surface will do.
