"An Apple a Day Is Not Enough" is a powerful poem written and performed by Taylor Mali (a well-known spoken word artist and teacher) about the importance of health education. It's done in the style of kinetic typography. We must get the word out about the importance of health education and its ability to get this country's health back on track—but we can't do it alone. parents need to be involved....(period) in all aspects of school. The responsibility of parenting needs to be handed back to the parents instead of the school system handling it all

Thank you, thank you, thank you!... for addressing the health issues we are facing with our youth, parents, and country as a whole. It's about time someone, outside of the health education field, advocated about the importance of requiring health education in school. As a health educator, who is always looking for more advocates, I give you two thumbs up! I will be sharing the video with our state's community of health educators.

I agree we need to feed our children heathier if we haven't all along...choices are getting limited, though, with Monsanto and big food companies poisoning our food supply.

You should probably look up FDR and see what he died from...poor health for about the last 20 years of life!

It would be great if both could do their part, sitting for most of the day at a desk in school isn't helping the problem at all it is just making it worse. You forget more than half the things you learn in school any ways and most kids hate going, so why go at all if the whole educational system is a joke?

This video bothers me, all this guy says is 'Health is the most important thing! Do health projects in math and science. And kids are fat because America!" Not to say health isn't an issue, but he talkes it up to be the most important aspect of existence, and frankly it isn't. Some of the best people to ever live were fat or invalid and they lived long lives. Look at FDR or Steven Hawking, both aren't shining examples of health, but both are great men.
