I love the dogs' expression close to the very end... Almost matches the Nipper glare and the cock of the head! Sweet commercial.

Edison never liked disc records. He always believed that cylinder recordings were better. Edison came out with the diamond disc phonograph in 1912 although he still did not like disc records. Edison later came out a phonograph that would play 78 RPM records, but they were not made very long. I think he did this to keep his phonograph company alive. Edison stopped making phonograph and records in 1929.
Lego is great at giving kids a tool to spur their imagination. Too bad they are flubbing up on the history part! Edison is not tied to the Victor Nipper logo but was big rivals. His first machine was a cylinder (tinfoil wrapped and later wax) Berliner introduced the disc record and for the most part you could not record to from a common household machine. Oh well, at least they are introducing historical figures.
