Duke and Petra enter Itamor's Frozen Palace, to be greeted by warmness inside. Inside the giant hallways, the two look around for possible entries which the Time Flux Sonics or even the Aliens may try to enter from, and also to find Clarice and Elsa. However, Petra discovers an awful truth regarding her comrades, and faces a very horrifyingly cheap and broken opponent as well...
Now I'm not using the latest update of Petra here, but as far as I know, the only difference is her firing ability (A,B, or C+D,DF,F) slightly sends her opponent into the air, and I did some nerfing on Petra's end. did some neglectable MODs to her CLSN1s, and made most of her attack animations slower, and decreased her attack power to 75 and nerfed her Critical Heart (Ina's Petra's L.G.A. Superior Fire does 800+ damage, compared to the source game which does almost less than half that amount of damage).
Now, my opponent is Shaia by Fer. She originally came from a NeoGeo game called Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer (made by Technos, the same company behind the Double Dragon franchise), and she was one of only two females that can be played in the game. It's one of those early Mugen days characters, so you can expect the character to be broken. In fact, it is. Here are the points of why she's broken:
- Her fighting is completely different from the source game.
- She can summon Monster and Monstrillo from Samurai Shodown II to interrupt your combo and basically mess you up. One of them command reads everything that involves the A, B, C, X, Y, and Z buttons.
- Her immolation attacks deal around 60%-80% damage (sometimes even over 100% damage) depending on how many hits it does! If she does this and chains other moves, she takes out your entire lifebar in one go! Even worse is that one of them uses 1500 Power to use and she always uses it when her life is low and she has Super energy to spare for it.
- She has infinites where she can use the lightning gun until you die, or through a combination of that, her strikers, and also her highly damaging attacks.
- Her machine gun deals a lot of damage and hits many times, doing upward to 40-45% damage unblocked. She can chain this move again and again, doing far worse damage. Unsure if it can result in a combo that can wipe out the entire lifebar...
- Doesn't know when to stop attacking after her opponent's defeated.
- She has a very annoying voice.
- Lets also not forget that she can defeat Ina's Arcana Heart characters (except Mildred) on their Chaos AI, as well as Supermystery's Eternal Champion (All 5 forms(!)), and numerous others.
Entire fight is done best 3 out of 6, and life set to 150%. Now, how to defeat Shaia. We already know she has infinites, but the thing is, she doesn't go all out until her super meter fills up enough from you attacking her and she brings out the strikers. As I said, I use Petra to fight her. Overhead launcher blasts and throws are very helpful when the strikers are out, and Guard Cancel works well too. Also, because Petra's Arcana (Zillael) isn't available, I had to use Bhanri, but the good thing is that Bhanri comes with additional clashing and the lightning bolts are perfect for attacking from a distance, especially against a character like Shaia.
There's also a mini beatdown segment at the end of the video where five other characters take out Shaia as well. Watch on to find out...
