    The girls were probably very happy doing circus stuff and the mother seems to be a god one.

    If it happened today the mother would be charged and imprisoned, the children would go to social service and the news would keep talking about how the mother was sadistic and cruel with the girls for a whole week. I really do not like our actual and false conception of morality and ethics.
