  • what great work you are all doing, carry on with your good work and thank you for posting.

  • julias Re "Eliminate poverty and you will have eliminated 90% of abortions." Again too simplistic! In some genuinely impoverished countries then poverty might be a factor.. But in e.g.the USA and UK it is rarely the REAL issue.. Most abortions there appear to be for "convenience" and a high percentage occur in the 16-25 year old age group.. To look solely to politicians to solve abortion smacks of buck passing..far better to promote the ideal of people personally assuming FULL RESPONSIBILITY.

  • Legal Abortion Death: Baraba Dillon, 22

A lawsuit filed by the father of Barbara Dillon, a 22-year-old college student, alleged that Barbara underwent a safe and legal abortion performed by Dr. Mark Silver at Long Island Gynecological Group.

  • I have a question father, are you a fanatic of the tridintine rite, or do you favor the modern mass?

  • "I really do wish you people would study up on comparative politics before posting crap on here. "

So I get grief for asking a question? Yikes. If I had gone on about how "China is Communist" then you would have a point. However jumping up my ass for asking a question is rude.

  • China today is communist in name only. Most of it is capitalist, and thus a gap is starting to grow between the rich and the poor. Plus they have a one-child law which is the main reason for abortions there.

I really do wish you people would study up on comparative politics before posting crap on here.

  • How does China fit into your economic model?

  • Individually, but as long as abortion is viewed as a legitimate choice, workplaces and universities see less reason to make changes necessary to give the women who don't have abortions equal rights, equal pay, and equal opportunity. Abortion is just a tool for maintaining the status quo.

Also, abortion may cost an individual less money, but it costs her child's life, too. Not worth it.

  • You know that what you said made no sense at all, right? Having a baby costs a lot of money, way more than abortion does.

  • As long as people think it's okay to dispose of children for monetary reasons, we won't eliminate poverty.

  • julias Re "The Scandinavian countries, which are all socialist, have very low abortion rates " I live in Europe and yet this is news to me ! Since when was Scandinavia "all socialist"? Besides the populations in Scandinavia are so miniscule that they can hardly be relied upon as represntative. Re "learn something about sociology or comparative politics, for the love of god" Patronising much! Anyhow it doesn`t seem to have benefitted you too greatly!
