Check out the great chris thomas king being disrespected..as he plays live.....I play myself, and I smile to myself..as the egos in the audience carry on....and remember him...I'm humbeled to be in his company. P.S. This goes for anywhere in your life you find yourself witnessing truth, beauty, and hard work belittled...especially your own...you are in the finest of company..smile and testify!

She forgot to mention she took favourite verses from three Johnson songs. (Or was I imagining the verse from "Me and the Devil Blues"?) Not that I'm knocking her for it. I've been a fan for years. I'd love to hear how she'd sound on a resonator guitar, though . . .

saw her in Bristol England , excellent set

OH PLEASE, DO ENLIGHTEN US!! Really, I'm all ears............
So, what stage(s) have you played?? You DO PLAY don't you?? I'd like too hear your stuff, since your SO CRITICAL about someone who's been doing her thing "ON STAGE" for quite some time!! People like you, are a dime a dozen, I hear it all the time in music shops about female players! That's ok, If I were Rory, I'd prefer too have my seats taken by the people that KNOW their blues & enjoy the people that keep "original" styles alive!

Sadly it looks like this audience isn't concentrating much. They are talking and milling about. She is excellent. This looks like one of her better performances too.

don't even bother defending to a bunch of obvious jerk offs

hi. nice to meet someone who was a student of rorys. I was also a student but did not have to hitchhike to get there. did drive 3 hours one way tho. I just saw her at the Iron Horse. She's still great of course. Do you live in Ct?

I find that the ones who criticize are usually the ones sittin' around playin' video games, surfin' the web and doin' nothin' constructive on their own, except bitchin' and moanin'! Hey is that a blues song?
I used to hitch hike to Rory's house in E. Chatham, N.Y. from Falls Village, CT back in 1979-80 for guitar lessons. I have great memories of those days and she was a wonderful teacher. I still play guitar today because of her. She was a great influence in my life. I love the blues and I have a high degree of respect for Rory and for her efforts in keeping the blues tradition alive.

hmmm, if you honestly can't tell that this is 100% a woman, then are you listening closely? Besides the looks, she's really sounding female...and great, in my humble opinion.
