SFMOMA "Face of Our Time" painted bag

A fun project of making shoulder bags from recycled clothing and then painting on them. This bag takes an image from Leo Rubinfien's photograph "Buenos Aires, 2005, off the diagonal" seen in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's new show, "Face of Our Time."

When I first made it the photographer who took the original image wanted it but I never heard back from him. Oh well! At least I've got a fun bag :)

Indeed you do, so much creative work into it would be hard maybe to know what to charge. Any shows your looking forward to at SFMOMA?

@ForSunny2 could it be that the black acrylic layers would be like "gesso" on canvas..... is there a clear top layer on it ,  giving it shine and a coating? just curious

if i may ask, were you using Acrylic paint? - and does it stay stable on the fabric...like not running should it get wet or something?
