This is a super rare clip from Herb's Television Special he had done with the TJB, Lani Hall and the Muppets in 1974. Ms Hall sings two beautiful songs and it's also the first appearance of Miss Piggy! Enjoy!

P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

  • It's a classic Dave Frishberg tune (that's Dave playing piano), "Wheelers and Dealers," which was on Lani's "Hello, It's Me" album (her second solo album). She's singing live, though, this version has several differences from the recorded version.

  • A gorgeous musical couple.... Long live Herb & Lani...

  • See what a good acting/voice coach (and a good plastic surgeon) can do?

  • jajaja miss piggy

  • Hey Thegoochman thanks a lot for your great Alpert videos and i had also my chance to see Herb and Lani in 1989 in Upstate New York and that was not enough because i saw them doin' rehearsal before that show,,,greet from Peru

  • Excellent......................

  • Whenever I hear her voice or see her lovely face, my heart goes pitter-patter, and beats a little bit faster. What class acts, Lani, and Herb! Never heard any scandals or salacious gossip about them. I wish they would write a book about their careers/lives.

  • I believe they were married in 1974, but I don't know if it was before or after this performance.

  • Great to see this. I love her voice and have been a big fan since SM66 days. "So Many Stars" is my favorite. Hope she sings it on the new tour.
