  • Hi, the concept for this tutorial is very nice. However, a pounding sound track, and text we can barely read isn't very useful sorry. Try zooming in further when typing in so the text is at least clear, a little explaination about what you are doing and why would also be useful. Focus on specific parts of the program, discuss the commands you are using and the structure of the program. At the moment, I'm afraid it's just a demo video of you typing in the commands. It's pretty but not a tutorial.

  • if you cant read it then add "&fmt=18" (without quotes) to the end of the URL.

this makes the video in high quality

  • @dcforemanuk

you could turn off the audio, but otherwise yeah

  • please post the code, and maybe a better video

  • After i write the code to send the player to the place he/she chooses, The game does not run, and I've copied the code exactly.

  • Why are you programming all of the data such as locations and objects into the program itself? It would make more sense to program the gameplay and create a scripting engine to handle all of the object, locations, npcs, etc, so that they can be created in separate files. That makes your program re-usable for making new adventures without having to re-program a lot of it. That's how most games are programmed anyways.

  • @lilbuck102 its Inputstring$

  • I thought it was very helpful for someone who is just being introduced to Dark Basic and with the text being too small, any computer knows that if you press Ctrl and scroll with the mouse wheel the screen zooms in. In regards to the music i thought it had good energy. I do kinda like German music though.

  • @FrikitsukiNoDeoxys sorry I'm new. Why?

  • thx! aber ein kleines antivir fail war dabei :D

nur ne ganz kleine andeutung: nimm AVG als virenprogramm. nervt nicht is gratis und macht seinen job sehr gut!
