although we have no 100% proof yet of anything like this but the story corrisponds with things ive heard from people who have seen UFO's (my personal thought its our technology). what most peoples stories are when the craft shoots up into the air it punches a hole in the clouds. now alot of people have seen giant holes in clouds but not seen what caused it. could there be a link?
