Dang, couldn't get anything out of this vid. I'm able to comprehend many things that get thrown at me mathwise so far. However, when I hit word problems, my mind straight BLANKS.

I actually set-up the formal for this equation correctly: like the way you show it at the bottom of your page @ 4:24.
I didn’t have any REAL IDEA as to how to go about solving it though.
Is there a name for this type of equation (kind of like there are names for polynomials, or quadratics)? I need to look up similar equations (not necessarily WORD PROBLEMS) to practice. Thanks

okay im not saying this to brag lets clear that up. im in advanced math classes by like 2-3 years. and im probably the average guy in my advanced class. and even the smarter people of the class get stuck on word problems. schools dont focus on word problems that have to do with this kind of stuff enough. in pre algebra there were the simplest word problems ever. and in algebra 1 they get like 10 times as hard.
