Too bad you cut the most difficult part, the south forest. The visibility is excellent at every corner and most turns can be taken at more than 80 km per hour even in a family car. The feeling is extreme and I recommend you DON'T bring a passenger along for the ride. Descending on the north side I was stuck at the back of a Tuareg for 20 minutes. He used the brakes at every corner while I was coasting behind him with my engine off :)) Best sunday-driver road in the world. Thank you Ceaucescu!

Very interesting road. I would like to drive this street and I think one day I'll come to Romania to visit this beautiful country. Here on YouTube I saw a lot of beautiful landscapes of Romania.

@marijuanamata highway does not mean autostrada (motorway). A highway is a public road connecting two or more important destinations. Hence any "national road" is a highway. Every motorway is a highway, but not every highway has to be a motorway.
