@wheelori814 Ah I getcha. Right, old world charm... I like that term. (Which is weird, because before I left is WAS hell, but now that I'm gone, I'm proud.) Sorry, just kinda had to defend my home town a bit.
@slinkmanlover14 like i said, im a country girl, not a city girl. For city people, well all of them that i have met, grand rapids would be pretty boring. most city people like ny and chicago and biggggggg cities/fast lane. Grand rapids is kind of in between. Its has a more old world charm. Well charm to some, hell to others lol. Im not saying G.R. is bad, just not my cup of tea, but a hell of a lot better than n.y. or chicago! lol
@wheelori814 Aw, c'mon. Grand Rapids isn't that bad. Yeah I grew up there and grew tired of it by 18, but you must admit, it can be quite the place. I've seen dozens of concerts, the place is filled with festivals that bring in revenue for the city (though, unfortunately, followed by failing businesses), the museums are really cool, Fredrick Meijer Garden is fantastic, and there are hockey games. Yeah it isn't the best, but Grand Rapids people have a lot of pride.
really, grand rapids? I guess there are worse places. Born in G.R. moved out to the country when i was 4 and boy was i (and still am) THANKFUL we did. But im a small town country type girl. Hey puremichigan people, give me some land to live on and a couple cabins with surrounding land for sale and I could get a mess of people to move to michigan. It would have to be central to northern mi. And we would take care of her, unlike others that spill oil in our waters or sell the great lake h2o
