Denominational Baptism is wrong because it has the wrong authority. This is part one of the series, "What's Wrong With Denominational Baptism?" For your baptism to be acceptable to God it must be the baptism authorized by God. Was yours?

  • If you are so sure that he was the FOUNDER, name one doctrine that the Churches of Christ (Romans 16:16) practice or teach that ORIGINATED with Mr. Campbell. No one cites Mr. Campbell as the authority for anything done in the Churches of Christ. We ONLY cite the SCRIPTURES for authority. See WhyBaptism(dot)org for 100s of articles on baptism. You seem to agree with the Catholics who say WHO does the baptizing is important. Wrong. If you are taught right you can be baptized right by anyone.

  • Your founder, Alexander Campbell, was Presbyterian. He wanted a water baptism, so he was baptized by a Baptist minister. Why? Because there was no church of Christ "pracher" to be found. He never was baptized by a church of Christ Preacher...ever. Face it, the Church of Christ is a denomination. It was started in the early 1800's. Trust me, it is well documented.

  • O.K. If the Bible doesn't set standards for "Authority", then where is your "Authority" (other than the First Amendment) to make the statements you are making in this video.

  • absolutely nothing....that dude is an idiot.....btw do u agree that there are generic & specific commands????

  • Okay, and this has what to do with my original comment?

  • Be baptized....does that specify where...no, does it specify how???....YES, IMMERSION!!!!!!!!....Rom. 6:3....cant walk in newness of life unless u have been raised up....cant be raised up unless what???....u r BURIED, IMMERSED!!!!!

  • yup, u read the Bible...ill pray for u

  • I see...

So, is it "authorized" to be baptized in a baptistry (which has no "scriptural authority") in a church building (which again has no "scriptural authority") by a paid minister or missionary (which has absolutely no "scriptural authority")?

    Just a thought...

  • who is this post to?

  • What are you talking about. Seems to me Jude spoke of those who speak evil of what they know nothing about (Jude 10). Jesus is my Great God and Savior (Titus 2:13). You obviously have not watched any of my videos or know anything about what I teach, yet you make these kinds of evil comments about me. Those of a good and honest heart will hear and obey the word of God (Lk. 8:15). So, Jude 10 or Lk. 8:15 - its clear which one you are.
