I think the musical term that applies to this piano solo is 'syncopation.'

I completely agree with your opinion.

Is this the same bassline as Watusi Drums?

Joe Morello's drumming on this track is breathtaking!

@scalabration After a quick review, there are 7 true jazz albums on the list, the highest being Kind of Blue at number 12. Miles had 2 other albums, Sketches of Spain and Bitches Brew. John Coltrane had A Love Supreme and Giant Steps, Ornette Coleman had Shape of Jazz to Come, and the list had Getz/Gilberto. To put that into perspective, Bruce Springsteen has 8 albums on the list.

Did the list have any other jazz albums? I would have guessed that the list was only for rock albums.

Very chilled, laid back groove.

My newest favorite Dave Brubeck song!
Rolling Stone magazine came out with a list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, this album was not on the list. I think that tarnishes the credibility of the list.

This song and not Take Five should have been the famous one. Not knocking Take Five but this is in a class of its own.
