  • do ppl not respect fire apparatus in that place? or are there no laws like, pull over, or stay 500ft back?? I noticed that in alot of your videos, other ppl drive as if the fire apparatus arent even there.

  • @VFVFCo68 What happened to the 480p quality?

We are required to move over and slow down, but many people are completely oblivious or do the bare minimum. "If I can drive normally without actually holding them up, then why not?", they figure. The chick on the pedestrian crossing had enough time to cross without making them brake, but it would have been better to step back and wait! As for keeping back 500ft, aerial 206/256 says "Keep back 20m" but it's the only truck I know of that does.

  • Another fine video! Interesting looking appliance/unit. Do you know if anyone has footage of the Ashburton (Canterbury) appliances? Stay Safe!

  • Thanks!

I can't think of any videos, but there's bound to be plenty of pics on the 111Emergency website if you haven't seen those already.

  • Do you know if the nz fire service is buying any more of 255 as they do a great job

  • They have at least 3 of these already that I know of. I think this is now the standard aerial for the NZFS, alongside the Scania Type 4 Brontos with the shorter aerial.
