Animal Crossing: City Folk from E3 2008

It's Official. Animal Crossing: City Folk will be launched in North America by the end of 2008.

The video of game play looks great, it's the same AC style graphics as GCN, but amped up with game play.

AC:CF will feature more goals for you characters.
an Auction site, ability to visit the HRA and view other players scores, visit Gracies store, Harriet now has her own store, a School bus for an as yet unknown reason.

Bunny Day is new, and Halloween has returned!!!!

The ability to send letters to other games as well as Wii systems, cell phones and even PC's.

A new hardware item will be included with AC:CF called "Wii Speak" which allows all people in the room to talk with other players.

It still only allows up to 4 people in town at a time, but now all 4 people can go inside the house at the same time. It does appear that the house has not grown in size any though.

No it is a "Wii" game.

You can only play the original "Animal Crossing" on the Gamecube.

It is impossible for a game made for a new system to work on an old outdated system.

does anyone know if you still have to share a house with other people who play? like in the ds version?

No in one of the videos and on screen shots from the Nintendo press release they show the town map and it shows that all 4 'players' have their own houses in unique locations around town.

So no more sharing.

Is this online? not like friends going to each other's town but like a mmorpg.

No it is not a MMO.  only friends from your game roster can visit your town or you visit their town, and only up to 3 visitors at a time. Just like on AC:WW. Other online features will be used in the 'City' and through the 'post office' but no MMO game play.
