Finally trying to breed my own crickets. I've heard it's very difficult, but with how many roaches and crickets I go through each month for a lot of my pets, I figured I'd try at least. I put dirt in a jar with a bunch of crickets I bought, since I noticed most of them were female and looking for a place to lay their eggs. Waited for maybe a month, misting with water every few days and... ta-daa! They're unbelievably tiny and there are hundreds that exploded seemingly overnight! Sorry if this isn't exciting to anyone but me :P

  • Neat! I had crickets as pets as a kid, and I sometimes spotted them laying eggs in the soil, but I didn't know about how to protect the eggs, so they never hatched. Job well done!

  • I hope the place isn't to wet for the babies and drown them...though congrads on getting them to hatch and such.
