A solid college education used to be the key to getting a great job in America and was a core component of the American dream. However, the times have changed. With the recession, the number of highly educated unemployed individuals has skyrocketed. An education has become more of a financial burden than a stepping stone into the workforce.

  • The problem is everybody just wants to work in an office, hospital or courtroom making six figures because this is their idea of a successful life. Well , sorry kids but not everybody is entitled to this. Somebody needs roll up their sleeves and go pick some corn or something. The gravy train has just left the station.

Yes - always prone to corruption. It's just that today people are so dumbed down with drugs, poisons in the food & water, zoned out by TV & entertainment - they are not capable of considering important issues & making their voice heard. They are so dim these days, most actually think that governments & big business have your best interests at heart. Not an illusion many of our fathers & grandfathers were under!!

So sad to see the degradation & demoralization of the populations

  • Well doesnt look like Ron Paul is getting elected, so prepare for MORE down pure shit economy!

Get ready to pay the pimp (sally Mae) ...ok hoes. Get ready for more corporate owned out of control politicians that are bribed. Its just going to get worse, anyone that tells you otherwise is a god damned liar!

  • The best way to move out of this recession is to pursue self-business. Relying on a job to pay you is very risky. At a time when unemployment is at it's highest, options for success are closing. Check out my blog for the solutions to your problems. drivenbyambition(dot)com

Because our leaders want to keep us in our bubble of "we will live the American Dream". They are fine with us paying tens of thousands of dollars as long as they keep their jobs.

  • College President: "Damn, $200,000 a year is not cutting it. We need more money. Lets just jack up the prices 500%. And after that, instead of spending it on a new science center or something like that, we should invest in a sports arena that costs millions. We will then make more money off of poor people hitting each other, jumping and running. At the end, my other college administrators and I will be making over a million each. Who cares about economic integrity. We got money, bitches!"

  • Forget about education! Go have your own business and be your own boss! I regretted that I got all those useless degrees that don't help me with anything but wasted my money

  • Try being 41 years old without even a G.E.D. I Tried to get it several different times, but I failed it over and over because of a math learning disability (Dyscalculia). I lost my job 4 years ago and no-one wants to hire me. I have no life, no-future, and no-money. I miss my job, I was happy then and contributing to society, now I feel like a piece of S**t. I gaxe out the window at the world now and wonder what death will be like.

  • colleges are corporations, fuck college

  • people that don't go to college got to stop being stupid and get into reality and start taking part of real issues that effect them. You me everyone we can make a difffrence.
