Is the dramatic, dynamic red&black glider a Malibu or a Fun or something else? With the back lighting coming through the fabric, it looks electric; almost CGI.

Single surface gliders, we see them tracking diagonally with little pull-in and in one case one stops forward movement with a push out and climb - so wind speed is probably not to far from stall speed for the gliders at their flying weight - as little as 25km/h with light pilots and not much over 30 km/h if the pilots are at the max gross limit. Kinda makes you want to find a small hill with a large flat field upwind ... even a long berm might be enough ...

I'm also wondering what the wind speed was. We have tiny ridges around us but haven't tried them...expecting we need pretty strong winds to do this
