A Celebration to Remember... Athens August 29 2004

August 29, 2004.....a night that will nostalgically be remembered by all Greeks who were at the closing ceremonies of the Athens olympics.
It was a night of national celebration witnessed by the 20 million who viewed it internationally. It was and has become an event which is nostalgically remembered with great pride by Greeks all over the world. Never before had so much Greek musical talent performed before so large an audience. This video captures the essence of that magical night in Athens when Greece celebrated its culture and musical heritage.

The stadiums have now darkened and the collective joy of Greece has turned into hard times and uncertainty, but the Greek spirit will eventually prevail as it has so many times before in their long history.
