glacier calving has nothing to do with global warming, its a natural process, the glaciers form and once they hit the sea they break... its a never ending process that has been going on for prolly billions of years.

Save the icebergs! Everyone crank up your air-conditioners and open your windows!

@RRingo123 read the fucking thread you conservative cumsock!
I said i spoke too soon, not that i need to justify anything to you! asshole!

@lanerant Everything about what you just said is wrong in every way, A piece of a glacier falls into the ocean, Global warming has nothing to do with it stupid. Glaciers break apart as they are slowly twisting or turning. And i love how you can just assume how this is a big conservative SUV driving family from seeing this one clip. Its a piece of ice on youtube you stupid liberal. And the kids are punks for being amused by this? Man, you really need to think before you type.

@lanerant This is not to say that it isn't happening. However, coming to any conclusion at this point is very foolish. We don't have the data or technology to properly make predictions and I've heard scientists from both sides with very convincing and yet opposite predictions.
-
@lanerant Get real? I know it's easy to think emotionally on what we're seeing but at the same time we need to think logically. Yes, there is evidence of global warming, but there is also evidence of a stable climate. It's easy to chomp at the bit when in history changes like this have taken thousands of years. Fact of the matter is, most predictions environmentalists have made regarding the "10 degree temperature change by 2010" have obviously been proven false.

nice shot. Scott (BUG)
Actually, I was working in Alaska as a Biological Observer on commercial fishing boats to make sure we aren't overutilizing the fishery. I drove a rented 4 cyinder car with 4 people in it for 2 hours from Anchorage. Yes, I was disturbed at how quickly our glaciers are melting, but this is also an amazing act of nature and I thought other people deserved to see it.
