My understanding is that Ms.Cassidy was not happy with the recorded sessions at Blues Alley because she was battling a cold at the time and felt that her voice was far from being at its best. This is Eva Cassidy with a cold. How incredible must she have sounded live when she was in good health? She sounds better sick than any female vocalist does today in the bloom of health.
