2011 SOUTH-ESSEX CTC EASTER CYCLING TOUR

Over 2011's unseasonably-warm Easter weekend (22nd-25th April), a party of a dozen or so cyclists - South-East Essex members of the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) - embarked on a tour of the New Forest, staying at the YHA's Cottesmore House in Burley. This is my visual record of the tour, which also includes a visit to the Beaulieu Motor Museum and a journey on the Bournemouth-Swanage ferry. Lots of pubs and wildlife, too! Touring by bike is great fun, affordable, environmentally-friendly, fitness-enhancing and frequently socially-rewarding. And as a means of discovering the countryside around you, it's unparalleled!
