the 18th Gemunu Watch of the 641st Brigade commanded Lt. Col. Indrajith Bandara, under the Task Force four of Col. Nishantha Wanniarachchi captured a torture chamber along with an ammunition factory, within a jungle, South of Puthukudiyiruppu. The torture chamber, used to imprison civilians who disobeyed them comprised 10 prison cells. The ammunition and the claymore mine factories were housed in permanent buildings. Booby traps had been manufactured on a large scale in addition to producing torpedo missiles. There were two containers of candles, a stores of the pistol gang and a facility to stock sniper weapons. A cyanide glass container was also recovered. The complex consisted of 20 buildings.
